AGC History

The Associated General Contractors of Metropolitan Washington D.C. started back in 1929 as the Master Builders Association with 18 members.  90 years later, three of those companies George Hyman, now Clark Construction Group; Davis, Wick, Rosengarten Company, predecessor of DAVIS Construction, and Tompkins Builders, now a part of Turner Construction is still in existence and have grown to be 3 of the largest and most prestigious companies in the DC market.

 

Committed to the industry in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, and Prince George’s County in Maryland

  • AGC of DC Members represent over $20 Billion Dollars of construction annually
