Mardi Gras Celebration, Clarendon Parade and YCF Float Competition

Who
All YCF-ers are invited to put together a Mardi Gras Krewe within their company and enter a float in the Clarendon Parade. Each company should select a Float Krewe King or Queen to register their company’s float when he or she registers for the event. (The float registration is a part of personal registration.) That person will become our point of contact to receive info re the parade logistics as they become available.
What
The Clarendon Parade is an entertaining mix of marching bands, parade floats, community groups, laughing children, proud parents, local businesses, enthusiastic politicians, and more! Floats can be creatively decorated trailers, buses, cars, motorcycles or horses. Participants can walk, march, dance… music is allowed. And everyone throws beads to the viewers on the sidewalks!
The floats are typically decorated vehicles.  A few photos below as examples of what people do.  All four examples are floats created from trucks of some kind;

When
The parade starts at 8:00 PM at the corner of Wilson Boulevard and N. Veitch Street, with Clarendon Alliance staff coordinating the staging. 
Deadlines
All registration takes place on the AGC website through the Mardi Gras Celebration Link
Bead Orders due by COB Friday February 3rd
Float Registrations due at by COB February 13th
Where
The AGC Mardi Gras Celebration is being held at 2300 Wilson Boulevard in the conference rooms facing Wilson Boulevard. The building is on Wilson Boulevard between N. Wayne and N. Adams Streets. The route is 0.8 miles on Wilson Boulevard between N. Veitch and N. Irving Streets. N. Veitch Street is one block from location of the party.
Why
The Mardi Gras Celebration and YCF Float Competition is a great way to get your YCF year started after the YCF Kick-Off Meeting on the 9th.
