Safety Training
Members also have access to some of the industry’s best training programs through the AGC Safety Management Training Course (SMTC), AGC Advanced Safety Management Training Course (ASMTC) and the Susan Harwood Grant training seminar.
The AGC Safety Management Training Course (SMTC) provides attendees three days of training on the basic skills needed to manage a safety management program for the construction industry.
The AGC Advanced Safety Management Training Course (ASMTC) is a unique three day course, which will provide a high level training experience for safety professionals and company managers who have a solid background in construction safety and health.
The Department of Labor (DOL), through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), offers the Susan Harwood Grant every year to stakeholders. This year’s training, being offered in 12 locations, covers falls, electrocutions, struck-by's, and caught-in's, which account for the greatest number of fatalities in the construction industry.

Safety Awards
AGC recognizes contractor members for excellence in safety through two Awards Programs:
The National AGC Safety Awards (NASA) program has been an ongoing effort to offer AGC members an opportunity to evaluate their safety record.
The Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) program is an effort to recognize companies who have developed and implemented excellent safety and loss prevention programs achieved through management commitment, employee involvement and program innovation.
