AGC members performing federal work have a diverse range of projects including building construction for agencies such as the General Services Administration, military construction projects for the Department of Defense and water resources projects that benefit our nation's navigation and flood control.
Each year, AGC of DC hosts the Annual Public Owners Procurement Forum aimed at educating contractors about federal agency policies and procurement methods. The forum features presentations from numerous federal agencies including, USACE, GSA, NAVFAC, DDOT and DCWASA and participation of many new players who gained insight into federal and public owner procurements.

AGC submitted comments on E-Verify in response to a proposed rule implementing President Bush's EO requiring the system to check the status of individuals working on federal projects.
AGC submitted policy recommendations to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers about the implementation of the 2007 Water Resources and Development Act (WRDA).
There are new changes to the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC program), which affects AGC members who perform work at ports, refineries, petrochemical plants, and other related Federal facilities.
Public-Private Partnerships continue to acquire more consideration as a means of addressing our nation's growing infrastructure deficit.
